Environmental catastrophes often result in widespread destruction, loss of Life, and long-term ecological damage, making them critical issues for global environmental management and disaster response.
A Categorical Pretreatment Standard is a technology-based Effluent limitation for an industrial facility discharging into a municipal sewer system. Analogous in stringency to Best Availability Technology (BAT) for direct dischargers.
